How our Gourmet Smoked Tuyo in Olive Oil was born — by accident! 😊
We make our own Tuyo from scratch — we dry the fish, fillet them carefully, and pack them in 100% olive oil. We also make smoked fish using an industry-standard smoker — like our lightly smoked sardines and smoked sardines with calamansi.
One day, we accidentally smoked a batch of Tuyo… and when we tried it, we were blown away! The flavor was rich, smoky, and so Filipino. That’s how our newest creation, the “Tinapang Tuyo,” came to life — a delicious twist on a beloved classic. 🇵🇭
Enjoy it the traditional way with hot rice and tomato wedges, or try it on pasta for an instant gourmet meal. For about 80 g of any sort of pasta (but you can always make more, of course 😉), just mix in half or one piece of our Smoked Tuyo — and voila, a simple but elegant dish! 🍝
