The Tamban fish tastes very similar to the Sardinela in the North Atlantic regions.
It's seasonal in the Philippines.
Our Sardines Tamban in Portuguese style means it's packed in pure olive oil. We pack our Tamban fish the same day it is caught. We make them in small batches.
No preservatives, NO MSG.. Shelf stable for three (03) years. Refrigerate after opening.
You may serve it on bruschetta and add some cottage cheese / goat's cheese or feta cheese. Some take it with pasta.
Or as we Filipinos love to eat it as a filling on our hot pandesal in the morning with coffee.
